It has been a few years since I have had the time to do some "blogging". However, after the recent advances in social media it has become apparent how powerful these tools can be, for many reasons. The problem I saw with earlier blogs I had created was that web traffic was difficult to begin and direct. Twitter has proved to be very useful. In the last three days that I have personally been using Twitter I found myself easily directed to places, things, posts, businesses and products both locally and internationally which I would have never ran across normally on the web. This is great.
One important thing about me which you will not read in my bio is that I attended school in Portland, Oregon for a graphic designing degree ten years ago. Since then I have stayed current with designing programs. I was also a Radar Network Operations Sergeant in the U.S. Army for two years. From this experience I learned networking administration, Unix, and Linux. I also had the pleasure of working with one of my best soldiers, now Sergeant Betty. Sergeant Betty was a computer programming major in college and taught me a great deal about computer languages as well as having books and reference material available for me to learn while we were in Iraq.
These are the tools that I am going to employ in my journey of new age branding and promotion. Although my job is not the same now that I am a senior in college for Viticulture and Enology at Washington State University. I understand that knowing how to use these tools can help me be a great success in the future. Follow me as I apply my computer knowledge to learning, posting, promoting and reviewing all things related to the production and consumption of great alcoholic beverages while creating a beautiful environment in which to read about it.
